There are many reasons why people feel unmotivated, never finishing what they have started or procrastinating and developing avoidance techniques. A common symptom of depression is called ‘anhedonia’ which is the lack of interest in activities, especially ones that once used to give us pleasure.
A fear of failure can prevent people from achieving their goals, it can feel safer not to start rather than try and not succeed.
People with low self-esteem believe that they are not capable of succeeding and often self-sabotage their efforts, their heads full of self-doubt and excuses. Feeling stressed and overwhelmed can stop many people from reaching deadlines and goals, it takes a lot of energy to feel stressed leaving us feeling exhausted to do the things we need to do. Lack of sleep can also make it increasingly difficult to engage in tasks, we are easily distracted and our focus is quickly lost.

By looking at what you would like to achieve and why it is important to you, we can help you focus on the small steps you can take to reach your goal. Focusing on small attainable achievements can create the momentum to keep you moving forward. We can change what has been holding you back, so you can start to move forward. When we are feeling in a calm and relaxed state rational thoughts can take over from our illogical thought patterns that have been holding us back. Recognising how we feel when we are making a positive step forward, encourages us to repeat that experience, allowing us to feel more energised and motivated

Session Format
Each session lasts for 1 hour, focusing on your positive changes, refocusing your goals and the steps you can take to achieve these.
