Unfortunately, your thoughts, your actions and your beliefs associated with food have not changed and that is when you revert to old behaviours and patterns.

We often turn to food for comfort, emotional support and when we are bored or lonely. These feelings and beliefs are in locked into our subconscious mind, but it is possible to re-establish new thoughts and beliefs and to reprogram how we respond. By doing this ‘diets’ can become a thing of the past.

How can solution focused hypnotherapy help with Weight loss?

Hypnotherapy can allow you to have a change of attitude towards food, be able to make conscious changes to what you eat rather than eating ‘unconsciously’ and ‘mindlessly’. I have just completed Amanda’s weight loss course – A mindset approach.

This has been the most valuable thing I have done for myself in 40 years. I was fed up of being on a diet, trying out every new approach to weight loss and attending various weight loss groups.
Amanda’s course is helping me to focus on myself and recognising why I have not been able to loose weight in the past. I am able to understand my emotions, feelings, behaviours and thoughts around food and the way I eat. It has made such an incredible change to my life already and I feel so much healthier. I signed up for the weight loss sessions with some trepidation. To be honest I’d tried everything else so why not. After the first two of the 3 sessions for once something has got inside my head and changed my attitude to food.
Amanda is lovely, and has really helped me get my head around making good choices. A side effect of her calming techniques is that I’m also sleeping so much better. It’s been 5 months now and I’m 1.5 stones lighter. But I know it’s sustainable. Food is no longer a reward and I feel I have really broken a vicious eating cycle.
