STRESS
Stress is the body’s natural reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or a response. It is a normal part of life and keeps us alert and ready for danger. Without this natural fight/flight reaction we would have died out hundreds of thousands of years ago. It becomes a negative state of being when there seems no let up and can affect your emotions, behaviour, thinking and health. Research shows that continued stress can bring on or worsen certain symptoms or illnesses including headaches, stomach upsets and high blood pressure. It can even increase the risk of having a stroke or heart attack. Chronic stress has also been linked to diabetes and obesity.
More often, stress leads to psychological problems. It can make people feel distrust, anger, anxiety and fear, which in turn can destroy relationships at home and at work. Stress also plays a key role in the development of anxiety disorders and depression.
Stress can affect different people in different ways, what is stressful for one can be nothing out of the ordinary for another. Standing up and giving a presentation to room full of strangers may reduce one person to a quivering wreck but to a stand-up comedian the thought of entertaining a crowd fills them with adrenalin and excitement.

Each session lasts for 1 hour, focusing on your positive changes, refocusing your goals and the steps you can take to achieve these.
